This character cottage dating back to the early 1800's is bursting with original features such as exposed beams, cast iron fireplace, wooden floors and exposed granite walls with the added benefit of a modern twist of luxury. Superbly styled and decorated by the current owners, and located in a peaceful cobbled side street literally two steps off The Digey in the centre of Downalong with great access to the harbour and Porthmeor beach.
Large kitchen/diner with exposed beams, the beams were original ships beam and likely to have come from either a wreck or was locally salvaged at the time of the cottages' original construction.
Oak worksurfaces. SMEG fridge/freezer, intergrated washing machine and dishwasher, gas hob/electric oven, microwave, i-pod docking station. Farmhouse dining table with beautiful reclaimed chapel chairs to seat 6.
Living room with antique cast iron fireplace(not a working fireplace). Comfortable seating for 6 with Georgian style 3 seater leather sofa and chair and 2 seater double sofa bed. 32" SMART TV, Blu Ray Player.
Family bathroom with WC, basin, free standing slipper bath and separate over-sized shower cubicle. Views over the rooftops towards the harbour.
Master bedroom with king size wrought iron bed, 23" flat screen TV and Blu Ray Player.
Attic bedroom with twin beds, 24" flat screen TV and Blu Ray Player.
Outside there is a shower for rinsing down sandy bodies from the beach with a bench and washing line to hang wetsuits etc...
All linen and towels included.
Gas central heating throughout.
All gas/water/electric included in price.
Friday to Friday bookings.
